Let us pay tribute to President Biden for his legacy of service by participating in a Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This provides an opportunity for EVERYONE to participate in a Day of Service by donating nonperishable food items.
Donations will benefit the Polk County community where 13% of the population experiences food insecurity, relying on SNAP and food pantries to feed themselves and their families. Come drop off your nonperishable food donations and add your name to the donor board! This is a great event to teach children the blessing of giving. And a great event for your church or group to participate in a Day of Service to honor Dr. King’s legacy of equality, justice, and community.
Join us on this Day of Service and invite others to participate. “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.” –Dr. Martin Luther King

Citizens from across Polk county will meet at Central Park in Winter Haven and participate in a coordinated effort called “The National Day of Protest”. Bring your signs, listen to community leaders as they lead us in calls for action and fight for democracy.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to participate.
If you can’t stand in protest, bring a seat.
If you can’t yell in anger, hold a sign.
If you’re afraid to protest, come stand next to me for support.
