Our featured speaker will be Congressman Darren Soto. He represents US Congressional District 9 in central Florida, which includes northeastern Polk County and all of Solivita.

We will meet in the Starlite Ballroom AND via Zoom.

Members will receive a ZoomLink prior to the meeting.

Light refreshments, coffee and water will be served.

This event has been POSTPONED due to the outbreak of COVID -Delta.

Watch for new dates when they are announced.

The Leadership Blue Convention is FREE to attend and to participate in.Educational and working sessions are held throughout Saturday. Various Statewide Caucuses and Committees develop their platforms, plans and rules during these sessions. If you want to know how the FDP works you should attend these sessions in person. COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.

 

You’re also invited to the 2021 Leadership Blue Gala dinner! We have some exciting guest speakers in the works that we’re looking forward to sharing with you in the coming weeks.

Voter Registration @ Solivita Farmers' Market

A representative from Lori Edwards office will be at the Farmers Market on Monday, September 27th next to the SDC table from 9am till 11am to assist with voter registration, vote by mail, or other questions you may have about voting.

Polk County Legislative Input Meeting @ Center for Public Safety Building

Representative Colleen Burton, Chair Designate of the Polk County Legislative Delegation, has announced that a Legislative Delegation meeting will be held on October 26, from 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm, at the Center for Public Safety Building, 1251 Jim Keene Blvd., Winter Haven.

The annual public meeting is an opportunity for citizens, elected county and city officials and members of civic organizations to address the delegation before the 2022 state legislative session begins.

We have been advised that those interested in speaking before the delegation will have a chance to register starting Oct. 1.
